I don't think anyone's here at the moment, but David CookFEST at Philippine radio station Campus 99.5 FM will start any minute now. We had one earlier today and there were tons of listeners from all over - people caught wind of it via my LJ announcement We were having fun at my local forum giving each other shout-outs.
I wonder where the pics and videos are of those people standing so close at the edge of the stage. Or are those guys filming the feed for the big screens onstage? Or hmm... are they planning to produce an AI7 concert tour DVD? Yeah, I wish! _________________ Experience David Cook's Declaration Tour at cookistangmiron.wordpress.com. Visit DCO!

He sure is, Zsus. I've been wondering about when he'll put out his next vlog. I hope to see lots of bromantic behind-the-scenes!

May I pervert the thread for my own purposes for the day? I need someplace to put this in the meantime as blogger.com seems to be having a problem. *pouts* Some of my friends at my local forum have been waiting for this. Will re-locate it as soon as blogger ain't acting funny anymore.
(Thanks to livehead16 for the video from which I made the screencap above. Played with it a bit in Photoshop.)
Finally, it's time for Numero Uno, David Cook, who eschews glittered-up "Idol" costumes for a white T-shirt, jeans and a scarf dangling from his belt. He accompanies himself on guitar for his moody version of Lionel Richie's "Hello." Dutifully, he sings "Time of My Life," yet another dull victory ballad written for an "Idol" winner. Cook dedicates a song (the Foo Fighters' "My Hero") to his brother, who's battling cancer; praises Oregon's lack of sales tax; and tosses guitar picks into the audience in rock 'n' roll fashion.
For his encore, Cook does his angst-ridden version of "Billie Jean," then really goes rocker, pouring water on himself and shaking it off. If the gesture seems a bit too preplanned, well, what's an American Idol to do? The crowd applauds wildly, waves glow sticks and takes photos as the beads of water sparkle in the lights.
Then came "American Idol" winner David Cook. Throughout his gritty five-song set that included Foo Fighters' "My Hero" and Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing," Cook was the standout performer who sported the arrogance and the showmanship befitting a status as a popular artist. He growled, screamed, strutted and pumped up the audience. As an encore, he belted out an inventive slow arrangement of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean," which demonstrated Cook's ability to put his own mark on a timeless song.
Billie Jean Tacoma, where Cooky does the back bendy move (aka FlexiDave at TWoP). Here are videos shot from two different angles:

Much like the Wet Portland Cooky incident, good images of the Tacoma wonder back bend are scarce. So far I've located one by shaneequa79 of david-cook.org (thank goodness she had enough presence of mind to snap a shot! I would have just stood there with my mouth hanging open and my finger frozen on the shutter button, hah!). I've taken the liberty of adjusting the pic a bit (found in her photobucket):

Those pics and videos are awesome, Alab. I was there for both the water and the backwards bend. Who knew the boy was so flexible. Mmmmm.
Glad I have pics now.
